FITNESS 101

How do you workout? How are you so fit? How? How? How? HOLD UP! Fitness doesn’t happen overnight it barley happens in a week. It’s not a diet, it’s a life style. You probably heard that about 10000 times but it’s completely true. Our bodies are used to eating a certain way and once we change it, suddenly we crave again. That being said..our bodies are our temples and we must treat this one body we have for the rest of our lives the best we can.

THE START-

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”

-Agatha Christie

If you’re not use to working out, getting to the gym may not come easy. So here’s some tips that may help!

– start a playlist. Having a set workout playlist goes a long way, when your music is set it helps keep you focused and pumped!

– go with a partner. Having someone to go with can help motivate you and push you to do better. I know my boyfriend is always making me do an extra set!  (thank you gym partners)

– WATER! Hydration is key when working out. It helps you refuel after all that sweat you lost.

 EATING RIGHT

About 4-6% of your day is used to workout. That leaves you with the rest of day to make healthy choices. I must admit I’m a chocoholic (aren’t we all) but I do have a passion for healthy foods! When you’re getting into the habit of eating right it’s not the easiest, but it’s worth it. Like I said before our bodies tend to crave what we don’t have after we’re so used to eating a certain way. What helps me is having a planned cheat day once a week. I do this to allow my body to consume my little chocolate I crave and it keeps me balanced. This balance helps me because I don’t get a sugar relapse. I understand this might not be the case for everyone but it’s a little tip that has helped me!

-E

P.S. Having a cheat day motivates you to eat clean throughout the week that way you can reward yourself when it’s your day 🙂

  1. Previously I did the same and one cheat day a week helped me a lot. I was in my desired weight for 5 yrs, but again I have gained weight and now m failing to motivate myself 😦

    1. Don’t give up! Breathe you got this. Start with small steps, find something you like, maybe taking a walk after dinner or a bike ride. Little by little you’ll form a habit. But don’t give up! Think positive.
